LTK-designed railcarExpanding the PRESTO electronic fare system. 

LTK provided technical support to Metrolinx for the deployment of the PRESTO system on 204 new low floor light rail streetcars operated by the Toronto Transit Commission. The PRESTO card allows passengers to pay after boarding and is currently used on buses, subways, streetcars and paratransit vehicles on 11 transit lines.

LTK was responsible for coordinating all aspects of the design integration of the electronic fare system with the TTC’s low floor streetcars, including card readers, single-ride vending machines, and network and communications equipment.
