Vice President, Rail Vehicle Engineering

Jim has been with LTK since 1988, working as both a subject-matter expert and lead electrical consultant.

He led the Vehicle Electrical Resource Group from 2014-2016 and has led the Vehicle Engineering Practice since 2017. He has a background in electrical and electronic design and an understanding of all rail car systems, with a particular emphasis on interfaces, operating requirements, and standards.

Prior to LTK, Jim spent 10 years designing rail and off-highway control equipment for General Electric.

Jim earned a Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering degree from the University of Maryland (Go Terps). He is an amateur radio operator and has been building DIY electronics since before it was called DIY. Jim is active in his church and has four grandchildren.
