Dee Leggett is a proven project management executive with 20 years of experience in the planning, development, and operations of public projects for a variety of modes, and using a variety of project delivery methods. She began her career leading public involvement and government relations strategies for local, regional, and statewide planning and construction projects and has since expanded her expertise to include project management, project start-ups, and contract negotiations. She has managed transit bus and rail operations as an owner and contract operator. She has worked with transit agencies throughout the United States to improve their service schedules, meet sustainability goals, and streamline their operations to increase efficiency and ridership.
Dee brings an in-depth understanding of the various funding and financing tools available and methods to leverage private investment. She is known for building coalitions and consensus to achieve results even when there are strong diverging points of view. Additionally, Dee’s background in community engagement allows her to provide a customer-centric lens to the projects she manages.
Dee earned a Masters of Public Administration degree from the University of Texas at Arlington, and is a Certified Manager of Quality and Organizational Excellence (CMQ/OE). Dee also enjoys volunteering in her local community, and currently serves on her city’s Planning and Zoning Commission.
